... or go out
When you are looking to stretch your legs beyond Nyrang grounds, there are plenty of other attractions to explore in Central Western New South Wales.
Although Orange is associated with being the birthplace of famous poets Banjo Paterson and Kenneth Slessor, local area tourism nowadays boasts many wine-tasting tours, wine trails, museums, cafes, farmers' markets, arts galleries and even hot air ballooning.
Located past Borenore in the Boree county, Nyrang Homestead has always been surrounded by some of Australia's most beautiful rural communities and popular tourist destinations. Other than the Mount Canobolas National Park, the area around Nyrang has become widely recognised as a premium cool climate wine region. In the last decade, wines from the Orange area have gained enormous recognition throughout Australia on par with the Hunter Valley, Mudgee and the Barossa Valley, South Australia as well as internationally.
If you want to go further, the historic City of Dubbo and the world-renowned Western Plains Zoo is only 1 hour 20 mins drive from the homestead. The Cowra area is 50 minutes away where the infamous Wellington caves, the phosphate mine and the Japanese Gardens reflecting on the Japanese prison breakout are worth visiting.
There's never a better time to visit under the open sky.
