the heritage gardens

Let your 'green thumb' loose into the extensively nurtured and maintained Nyrang gardens.

Initially neglected for over 30 years, Andreas Martz has restored the homestead gardens to their former glory, phoenix-like. He was able to preserve nearly all the flora, which actually date back to the original establishment. Encompassing two hectares, many types today consist of deodar, almonds, elms and a chinese elm, lilac trees, a lemon tree, roses, a sweetpea and herbs garden, peach trees, lucerne trees, saltbush and olive hedge, to name a few.

Some features no longer exist, such as a bird-bath next to a Golden Cypress tree, which was removed in late 1940s, as well as a sugar maple and an arbutus.

In spite of these changes, Nyrang gardens have always remained the spectacle and bloom of the countryside, through conservation and especially Martz's detail-oriented upkeep that would make Nyrang's predecessors proud to call their own.

Go on, take a walk and look around. The pictures - or rather, results - speak for themselves.
