the boutique winery

There are certain advantages to living in one of Australia's coldest climate regions.

Established in December 1997, the vineyard's sprawling five and a half hectares would become integral to the lifeblood of Nyrang Homestead.

With a passion for heritage preservation, the sustainable use of the land and technical skill in viticulture, Greg Urbanski has matched the high standards of our B&B accommodation with those of our fine Barton Creek wine brand.

.

On the BC wine label:

Barton Creek's grapes reflect the unique history and micro climate of the land in which they take root. The winery lies between two ridges that draw excess rain and humidity away from the trellised vines. In the shallow overlay of terra rossa can be found coral fossils that form the limestone soils and aquifers running along the slopes of Mount Canobolas. Cool air at 580m, cool water from below and good sun combine for depth, complexity and balance.

Interesting wines, thoughtfully fashioned from an unequaled location, where the original homestead is still a beautiful and rewarding place to stay.

On the dessert BC wine label:

BC represents Barton Creek and Boree Creek, the main creeks flowing through both properties. These creeks carry the cool, clean waters from the hearts of Mount Canobolas, a scenic National Park in Central New South Wales.
